Prevention, Research, and Future against Alzheimer's

Global Call

A global call to identify and fund a preclinical research project focused on a pharmacological cure for Alzheimer's.

GLOBAL CALL

Research that needs to go further

The Global Call was created to open a channel of connection between the Rosa Maria Vivar Foundation and research teams working on the development of pharmacological strategies with curative potential for Alzheimer's.
The objective is to fund a preclinical research project, with a clearly defined disease mechanism and a plausible path towards pharmacological intervention, through a two-phase evaluation process: Letter of Intent (LOI) and full proposal by invitation.

The Call

Areas of Interest

The call is aimed at preclinical projects that propose a pharmacological intervention pathway with the potential to modify the course of the disease or contribute to a cure.

Disease Mechanisms and Therapeutic Targets

Identification and validation of targets with a defined therapeutic pathway.

Early Therapeutic Development

Small molecules, biological therapies, or other modalities supported by a solid preclinical basis.

Drug Repositioning

Repositioning proposals supported by robust evidence and clear mechanistic justification.

Who can submit a project

The call is open to entities with their own legal personality, domicile or permanent establishment in Spain, that carry out R activities in national territory: universities, hospitals, public or private research centers and institutes, and biotechnology startups or companies with demonstrated R capacity.
International cooperation through consortia is permitted, provided that a Spanish entity acts as the coordinating institution and recipient of the aid.
Each proposal must identify a principal investigator and a host institution responsible for the administrative and financial management of the project.

Project Submission Form

To rigorously evaluate each proposal, the form must collect scientific, technical, economic, and organizational information about the project.
